In a new documentary scored by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Massive Attacks Robert Del Naja, we see how the British Kingdom has developed to become a superpower based on ‘lies and corruption’.
News over the documentary comes at a most fitting time, what with the recent scandals over HSBC Swiss bank tax scandals and the UK government’s lack of intervention.
There is now an official trailer for the documentary available which you can watch above. In the lead up to the premier of this documentary, Thom Yorke has voiced his opinions over the subject with NME.
“Now is the time to reveal the revolving doors between government and the City that has bred lies and corruption for so long, siphoning money through our tax havens for the global super rich, while now preaching that we the people must pay our taxes and suffer austerity. Just who does our government work for?”
The documentary will air on digital channel London Live at 8pm on February 25, with narration from The Wire’s Dominic West.
