Former CEO of Death Row Records Suge Knight has been arrested on charges of murder with a bail set at $2 million (£1.3m).
At first, Suge Knight’s attorney said he was fleeing attackers and hit his friend with his car accidentally however it has later emerged that eye witnesses claimed knight to hit two victims then reverse over them twice before his escape.
Police claimed there to be two fights, the first on a movie set, which was followed by a second fight outside a burger joint in Compton, Los Angeles. After a reported death, Suge Knight handed himself into police where an investigation then took place.
Actor Cle “Bone” Sloane from ‘Training Day’ was also injured in the event, and his condition is not yet known.
The incident happened after Suge Knight appeared at the set of a promotional shoot for the forthcoming N.W.A biopic.
Death Row Records, founded in 1990 established the careers of Dr Dre, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg, but went in to bankruptcy and was later auctioned off.
Late august, Knight was shot in a club in Los Angeles, but no arrests have yet been made
