There’s more good news coming from the heart of the Dutch capital, with Dekmantel revealing its full showcase bill for the set of opening concerts.
This years Dekmantel has gotten a tad more delectable, since Dekmental revealed all of the bill for the live program last week. Set to commence on the 4th August, Acts penned included Avant-Garde mavericks Cabaret Voltaire, Brazilian Jazz funk Trio Azymuth, the multifaceted Berlin label Raster-Norton dishing out a series of progressive performances from core artists Beytone, Kanding Ray and Grischa Lichtenberger.
With already a spectacular live performance promised from the Afrobeat veteran Tony Allen, and both James Holden and Shakleton & Ernesto also opting for the live route, the theatrical element will certainly be on par.
Opening concerts will be hosted in four cultural institutions around Amsterdam’s IJ-River, with three new spots including Bimhuis, EYE film museum and Paradiso’s new dependence Tolhuistuin . They will all be well situated and connected by ferry links.
To add to this, Dekmantel will be hosting lectures, a film screening and a complementary night-program on August 4th (of which details are soon to be announced).
