C.A.R shares new video for Glock’d EP

C.A.R. on Cone Magazine

After the release of her debut album ‘My Friend’, C.A.R aka Chloé Raunet returns to centre stage with a fancy new music video to accompany her forthcoming EP Glock’d,

The track is a rather playful ensemble, with plucking synths and retro guitar riffs that sound like they were recreated in an old plastic 90’s Casio Keyboard. We see Chloé sat on a fair ground roller coaster straight faced singing her blues with a sense of empowerment.

One of the first tracks she ever wrote as part of her new solo project C.A.R, it has since been credited by Andrew Weatherall as  “bittersweet pop music from the future haunted by ghosts from the past.”, going on to say “one of the best releases of 2014”.

The Ep comes with a pulsating dance-floor ready rework from The Asphodells, alongside an even more morbid remix from Manfredas.

The London based singer and former member of electro-wave band Battant, tenderly cultivates caged inner demons and depression in her solo work, producing sheer emotion and authenticity in her work.

With her own show on NTS Radio, C.A.R is going from strength to strength. Alex Koprano commented on her talent saying,“Lovely melancholia. I’m really enjoying this, something a little heartbreaking about it all”.

GLOCK’D EP releases on March 2nd Digitally on Kill The DJ. There is also limited vinyl edition on Les Disques. For more of her work, head over to her official website.
