Robert Hood’s new EP, Paradygm Shift Volume II, is to be released via Dekmantel records on 6 June 2016.
The paradigm shift project was announced earlier in the year. The plan is to release 3 different EPs which will eventually form a single album.
Volume II delivers two premium techno cuts. Side one is ‘Master Jack’, which is built up by pulsing frenetic bass thumps, rhythmic stabbing chords and clanking hi-hats. The B-side track ‘Magnet’ brings a minimalist, hypnotic stomper vibe.
The Detroit legend said, “The idea behind Paradygm Shift is similar to a shift in our focus. We can become so complacent; we are so comfortable with our surroundings, I think this is the time for electronic music to find a new mindset.’’
