The Deejay Fast Eddie releases My Melody EP

Super Rhythm Trax deejay fast eddie

Chicago born veteran of the 80’s house music boom today presses the extremely rare ‘My Melody’ onto 12″.

Fast Eddie was an integral part of the early house movement in Chicago during the 80’s. Alongside hosting on radio stations WGCI and WBMX for a short period, it was his productions that gained him notoriety. With the early success of Acid Thunder, it was Git On Up that comfortably nestled Fast Eddie at number one for a week in 1989.

Now a true rarity of his repertoire ‘My Melody’ receives its first pressing to 12″, having appeared as a shadowed cameo on 1989 ‘Jackmaster Phuture Trax’ album. Super Rhythm Trax have boosted the levels and given the record a full makeover, set for the high fidelity soundsystems of a modern nightclub setting.

Two further album cuts are included in this release which are also first time 12″ releases, and coupled with that is Hip House (which was the track that established Eddie’s career and recognised him as a lyricist).
