Craig Richards and Gottwood festival have teamed up to bring this unique new 3 day festival to Norfolk, combining art and sculpture with music, and set in a remarkable venue.

Excitement surrounding this new festival has grown rapidly since the announcement of it’s first wave of artists, along with their mouth watering promo video below.

The announcement of VILOD (Ricardo Villalobos & Max Loderbauer’s Live UK Debut at the festival), has been met with great anticipation, combined with performances from Seth Troxler, Floating Points (DJ), Andrew Weatherall, and Ben UFO.

The festival has recently now just released their second wave of artists with a focus on live music coming to the fore. Hercules & Love Affair bring their much lauded and highly entertaining show to the live stage and there’s an exclusive performance from Afrobeat pioneer Tony Allen, showcasing a special tribute to the renowned American jazz drummer Art Blakey.

More artists just announced include:

Cobblestone Jazz (Live), Raresh, Rhadoo, Adam Shelton, Alex & Digby, Begin, Calibre, Cassy, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Dave Harvey, dBridge, Deadbeat, Derrick Carter, Dr Horn, Gerd Janson, Hamid, Heartthrob (Live), Horse Meat Disco, Jenny Jen, Jonny Rock, Joy Orbison, Magda, Margaret Dygas, Mixmaster Morris, Optimo, Radioactive Man (Live), Rob Mello, Tristan Da Cunha, Yussef Kamaal (Live), Voigtmann.

Set within the grounds of Houghton Hall, in a never before used area of the estate, it’s only a 90 minute train ride from central London. The site provides a naturally artistic setting with a range of venues, as well as the fore-mentioned art and sculpture park.

A graduate of St Martins himself, Craig is looking forward to further curating an arts’ program to accompany the estate’s already impressive work from visionaries including James Turrell, Zhan Wang and Andrew Long.

“Some while ago now the guys from Gottwood approached me to curate something new. I’ve always seen myself as more of a collector than a curator. I’m also much more of an artist than an organiser…. On first visit, I was blown away by the site. Not only by the shear beauty of the setting but by the potential for its use as a gathering of like-minded folk. It really is quite exceptional.” ~ Craig Richards
