Review: TAU – Mo Anam Cara

TAU_Mo_Anam_Cara_Fuzz_Club_Cone_Magazine

Germany’s transcendental psychedelic duo TAU return with a rich offering from their forthcoming release TAU TAU TAU – out on Fuzz Club recordings September 9th.

Striding in like a desert express, Tau’s new single is an eclectic mix of sun-kissed eastern influenced blues, and a pop sensibility that comes straight out of the sixties. It’s an eclectic song that changes feel from chorus to verse. The use of twelve string guitars, table drumming and collective chanting could mistake you for a Kula Shaker record, but this is more authentic. ‘Mo Anam Cara’ is a slice of psychedelia that puts you in a place – it is more a feeling than a message, a sound rather than a story. If this is an indicator of Tau’s new record, then expect a great headphone-listening album.
