Sound Industry, South West UK’s newest music conference dealing with issues of diversity, wellbeing and politics, will comprise of an all-day conference being held around Bristol on Thursday March 30th.
Spearheaded and curated by Bristol Women In Music (BWIM), the showcase aims to challenge and inspire individuals working across all aspects of the musical landscape, in the area and further afield. Built on the notion of the collective industry being run and directed at a narrow demographic, their mission is to represent something more diverse.
The conference – taking place in various parts of Colston Hall – has been curated to include platforms for lively debate, examining overarching areas of its business side as well broadening the discussion to touch on often unexplored areas. The program is bolstered by the ideologies of BWIM: to lay the foundation for a more accessible and equitable music industry for both men and women.
