London record store BM Soho has closed its doors following a legal dispute over the lease of its premises.
The store began as Black Market Records and has been an important part of London’s vinyl scene since the late ’80s. A statement was released via its Facebook page explaining that mounting financial pressures caused by the increasing gentrification of Soho had forced the store to temporarily close. A story that’s becoming all too familiar!
Don’t panic though – it’s promised to return bigger and better in a different central London location.
In the meantime you can still order your wax and equipment from the website here.
