PREMIERE | Levant – Monad

Levant - UnFinetude on The Sublunar Society on Cone Magazine

From the Romanian composer LeVant comes this conceptual project tackling rather complex narratives.

Alongside studying his PHD in Philosophy of Digital Culture & New Media, George D. Stanciulescu also wrote a book entitled “Postmodernism and Digimodernism in music: philosophical perspectives”. The response he’d received from this book led to him creating his own interpretation of digimodernism in the form of UnFinetude.

Released on The Sublunar Society records, this three track EP carries a wide breadth of atmospheric soundscapes that implode with bass laden bleep and Amon Tobin-esqu rhythms.

We have an exclusive premiere of track Monad which LeVant tells us is a sort of decomposed ambient pop cut, sparkling in an ethereally mutant manner my encounters with the spectrum of illusion.”
