Bristolian production duo The Allergies, comprised of DJ Moneyshot & Rackabeat joined Jalapeno records back in 2012 to provide the world with their assortment of dance floor friendly joy rhythms and funky up-beat groove.
And the sceptics surely had their noses turned up at this rash decision to sign The Allergies, but the pairs scratching abilities display talent surfacing right from under the skin [excuse the puns].
Heartbreaker, which released back in 2013 received acclaim by Mixmag as ‘Tune of the month’, whilst ‘As we do our thing’ was championed by BBC’s Craig Charles. Since joining Jalapeno the pair have put out two EP’s and a handful of remixes with 2015 showing no signs of slowing down.
But whilst DJ Moneyshot is a familiar face on Jalapeno, it was ‘Be With You‘ that brought the pair together for a collaborative release. With it’s slap funk bassline, string ensemble and infectious vocal samples, ‘Be With You’ feels like a strong summer jam, set for long hazy evenings and late night debauchery.
Kicking up Dust EP features an amazing arthouse video for God Walked Down plus a strong collaboration with rapper BluRum13 on Flip The Scripture.
