Broken Fingaz ‘Journey Galactiko’

Broken Fingaz Journey Galctiko

Urban art collective Broken Fingaz to host their first American exhibition entitled ‘Journey Galactiko’

Their art was probably the first work that got my young brain truly interested in street art and thus illustration and graphic arts, now the Howard Griffin Gallery  will host the first exhibition in America by Israeli urban art collective Broken Fingaz. The group made up of members Unga, Kip, Tant and Deso are best known for their take on graffiti, graphic design, installation, film and music deriving their stand out style and inspiration from Israel’s bold culture and complex past. The exhibition entitled ‘Journey Galactiko’ showcases pieces by the collective around the theme of sex and death, the work holds a clear Japanese influence to it with bold colours often used in Broken Fingaz work, intertwined with typography, floral patterns and surreal imagery. Its inspiring to see artists producing work that has a clear root to their homeland whilst incorporating surrounding areas and their styles such as the groups recent trip to India as seen in the video below. The exhibition is currently running until July 25th.
