Banksy‘s Grim Reaper will stay at the M Shed after it was loaned from its original place at Thekla
Banksy’s original work was painted on the side of Thekla about 10 years ago and stayed there until the boat/nightclub shored onto dry docks for renovation. Exposure to the elements seemed to be causing long term damage to the artwork according to experts and was decided that the piece would be cut from the hull of the ship and loaned to galleries and museums around Bristol. However it has now been decided that the work should have a permanent home at the M Shed.
