High Focus return to Electric Ballroom in Camden for their Summer Party on July 22nd.
The billing for the event includes some of the biggest talent associated with the label; Edward Scissortounge and his brooding producer Lamplighter will be there, alongside the likes of Fliptrix, Verb T, Leaf Dog and Jam Baxter, with an appearance from the legendary Chester P.
Parties thrown by High Focus are renowned for their craziness. The label recently held their annual Birthday gathering at the same venue, Electric Ballroom, which saw the whole family get together for a night of quality music coupled with extreme hedonism and general fun. And with such a hefty line-up – perfected by the presence of UK hip-hop pioneer Chester P – this up-coming Summer shindig promises to be another unmissable night for fans of the underground hip-hop scene.
Scissortounge and Lamplighter will use the party as the launch of their forthcoming album, ‘Tell Them It’s Winter’, the title track of which is a darkly poetic number typical to the pair’s style, and is described by the label’s website as a tune that ‘ruminates over life-and-lust-and-love before settling on the notion that every human being is on the hunt for the same thing’. The official release date for the highly-anticipated album is the 15th July 2016, and so the party will fall just in time to capture the hype surrounding the release.
Tickets for the event can currently be found on Ticket Arena.
