Autumn 2015 Will Mark 10 Years Of The Warehouse Project

Manchester International Festival and Warehouse projects on Cone Magazine

The full Warehouse Project season will run from the end of September up until January 1st. This impressive milestone will be acknowledged with some extra shows and very special highlights.

July is when The Warehouse Project get the ball rolling. Two unique 1800 capacity events will be held at Manchester’s Mayfield Depot. These two shows are being brought to the masses by The Warehouse Project and Manchester International Festival, who coincidentally are also marking a ten year milestone in Manchester. The two powerhouses have pooled their resources to create two simply unmissable nights, which will undoubtedly contribute to Manchester’s already staunch nightlife reputation.

Friday 17th July will see electronic wizard Four Tet performing live and joined by Tyondai Braxton and Koreless. The following night Saturday 18th July continues to deliver, with the legendary Carl Craig & Mike Banks accompanied by an array of talent including DJ Koze, Joy Orbison, Kyle Hall, Midland, Maurice Faulton, Jacques Greene, Mr Ties, Space Dimension Controller. As well as this there will be live sets from Octave One, Paranoid London and Dark Sky.

10 x 10 follows the success of MIF13 (Manchester International Festival) shows at Mayfield Depot including Massive Attack v Adam Curtis. The cavernous environment and industrial concrete pillars in-keeping with WHP’s signature surroundings. The redevelopment of the Piccadilly Station area means Mayfield Depot is to be knocked down before the end of this year, making 10 x 10 the first and only opportunity to experience a Warehouse Project show, and be part of the history made within its walls.

“We are all incredibly excited that we can work with Manchester International Festival on these two special 10 x 10 events, that celebrate ten years for both MIF and WHP in the city. It’s the perfect way for WHP to kick off our tenth anniversary year and the last time this incredible space is going to be brought to life.” Sam Kandel, WHP Co-Founder & Director

As we move into autumn, The Warehouse Project has lowered a baited rod into its pool of appreciators. At the end of the line there are two shows from the WHP15 programme. Both shows will take place on Friday 16th October, with The Albert Hall playing host to Jamie XX and The Manchester Academy being graced by Major Lazer. Jamie XX will release his hotly anticipated debut solo record In Colour, which will likely paint The Albert Hall with every colour on the spectrum. Major Lazer will explode into The Manchester Academy propelled by the undoubted success of their new album Peace Is The Mission, following its release early June.

These four shows will come on-sale as follows:
